1<J>: Abe-san, thanks for coming to the show. Abe-san is OK, right?

2<A>: Yes, please call me Abe-san. I'm very much exciting now.

3<J>: Great. Now, can you tell us a little bit about your job?

4<A>: Sure. I am director of technology and manufacturing group,
Japan. I am heading engineering teams across groups.

5<J>: OK.

6<J>: Now, I think a lot of people know "Intel," but could you tell
us really what is it that Intel does?

7<A>: Sure. In terms of the Intel, the biggest semi-conductor
company in the world.

8<A & J>: Hmm... Uh-huh.

9<A>: And we supply mainly microprocessor for the personal computer,
it's a PC, and network server, also known as Intel Inside.

10<A>: Hmm... very close.

11<J>: Very close.

12<A>: The CPU stands for Central Processing Unit.

13<J>: OK.

14<J>: Exactly. What is that?

15<A>: It determines the total performance of the PC.

16<J>: Oh, OK. Excellent.

17<J>: Abe-san, is there any special thing that people should pay
attention to when they talk with their boss?

18<Ab>: Yes. Usually manager is very busy.

19<J>: That's right. I know I am.

20<Ab>: Therefore, question and request should be simple and well
articulate points.

21<J>: I see.

  Other Useful Expressions

22<J>: The first expression is, "I'm more concerned about the
manufacturing people here."

23<J>: Abe-san, do you use this phrase "be concerned about" in your
work?

24<Ab>: Sure. I use that phrase.

25<J>: Can you give me an example of, when you would use this
phrase, a specific sentence?

26<Ab>: For instance, "I'm concerned about my staff working too
much."

27<J>: I see. The next phrase is, "Let me have a look at it."

28<J>: "Show it to me." と言うと命令していいるように聞こえる。
Let me take a look at.
"have" の代わりに take, get, give など動詞を入れ替えても意味は同じ。
