1) click
"Click" might be sort of hard to understand here. In this case, the 
word is being used to mean function well together. "Click" has 
various usages that are related to that. You can use it to mean a 
great success. You can use it to mean function smoothly, or even to 
talk about something that has become clear in your mind. I think 
it's related to the sound of a smoothly operating machine.

You can also use it to talk about the way you feel when you meet a 
new person and you feel like you have known them for a long time, 
and you are pretty sure you are going to become very good friends or 
even more if you are free for romantic relationships. You could say, 
"I don't know. We met and we just clicked."

2) like
"Like" used this way is very conversational. You probably shouldn't 
write it, and you should be careful also of using it too much in 
your conversation. If you say "like" all the time, you'll begin to 
sound like a junior high school kid.

3) nudge
"Nudge" basically means push, but you use the word "nudge" instead 
of "push" in situations where it's a small gentle push usually with 
a good result. Sometimes when people are hesitating doing something, 
they want to do it but they are worried about it or a little afraid, 
if you give them a little "nudge," they'll go ahead and be 
successful.

4) chatting over a fence
There's a lot of talk of "chatting over fences." So maybe you are 
out in your yard working and you stop and have a nice talk with your 
neighbor.

5) people who'll work for me
Takahashi talks about "people working for him." He just means he'll 
be their boss or their supervisor. It... they are not working 
specifically for HIM in particular. He could have said "work with 
me," but then the relationship isn't quite so clear.

＜編集後記＞

ある日のこと、取材に向かう途中、ちょっと疲れ気味だったので薬局
に立ち寄り「ユンケル」を買いました。

薬局のおじさん、私の顔を見るなり、

「飲んでいく？」
「はい」
「バッテリー、必要だよね。」
「ほんとに」
「はい、元気で行ってらっしゃい！」
「ありがとう」

全く知らない通りがかりの薬局でのやりとりです。私ってそんなに疲れ
た顔していたのかしら？なんでおじさん、私がすぐに飲むつもりだった
ってわかったんだろう？ 店に入るなり、真っ先に冷蔵ケースの前に行
き、サッと手にしていたら、そうみえるんだろうか？

店先でユンケルをグイッとやるなんて、なんかおやじくさい。取材の帰
りにはひとりでラーメン屋さん入ってしまったし……。やっぱりおやじ化
しているかも。全国のおやじ連合組合（そんなもんあるんか？）のみな
さん、仲良くしましょう。
