  Word Watcher / Oyster   the world is one's oyster

1) Hello, everyone. I'm Lisa Vogt, your host.
Do you like "oysters"? It used to be said that oysters should only 
be eaten in months that end in the letter "r" -- September, October, 
November, December. But today with advanced refrigeration 
technology, it's possible to enjoy oysters all year long.

2) Have you ever bitten into an oyster and found a tiny crab inside? 
I have, and I assumed that the oyster had eaten the crab. But 
apparently that species of crab, called the pea crab or oyster crab, 
has adapted itself to live compatibly inside the oyster's shell.

3) Today's Word Watcher phrase is "the world is one's oyster." It 
means that everything is wonderful and that you have the ability, 
means and freedom to do anything and go anywhere that you want in 
the world.

4) If "the world is your oyster," nothing is off limits. All 
opportunities are wide open for you.

5) Perhaps it comes from oysters being easy to get and eat because 
they don't run away. And they can be eaten without cooking. So the 
world is simply yours for the taking.

的な強さを感じました。中野選手は頭のいい人ですね。インタビュー
の受け答えを聞いていて感じます。

ほんの4分の演技の影にどれだけの努力と苦労が隠されているのか
と思うと胸が熱くなります。それは数年、あるいは数十年にもわたる
努力の積み重ねなんですよね。

私はどれだけ努力しているかなあ？ どこまで限界に挑戦しているか
なあ〜？ まだまだだな！
