■編集後記■

■　日本のアニメ『ジョジョの奇妙な冒険』で、イスラム教の教典、コーラン
の描かれ方が不適切であることが分かり、DVDなどの出荷が停止されました。
問題が見つかったのは、第6話の『Adventure6-報復の霧-』。悪役がコーラン
を読みながら主人公らの殺害を命じる場面があり、イスラム圏の一部で批判さ
れていました。

■　出版社の集英社によると、原作のマンガには、コーランは描かれていませ
ん。アニメ化の過程で、悪役が手にしている書物にアラビア語の文章を描き込
んだのですが、その文章がコーランとは知らずに、やってしまったということ
です。

■　しかし、ほかの部分も調査したところ、モスク（イスラム教の礼拝所）が
破壊される場面があるなど、配慮に欠けたため、原作の一部も出荷を停止しま
した。日本の外務省も問題を重視。外務報道官が「不注意とはいえ、イスラム
教徒の感情が傷つけられたことは遺憾」との談話を発表し、国としても反省の
意を示しました。マンガ、アニメは海外で日本の「顔」になっています。異文
