　近年　高評価連発で入手の難しいドメーヌとなっている

『ドメーヌ・ド・ラ・モルドレはリラックという、シャトーヌフ・デ
　ュ・パプの西にあたるローヌ河の対岸にあるアペラシオンで有名な
　生産者である。これは純粋な、フルボディのシャトーヌフデュパプ
　であり、舌触りは卓越している。若いうちでも近づきやすいが、10
　〜15年もちこたえるのに必要な凝縮感や強烈さを持っている。キュ
　ヴェ・ド・ラ・レーヌデボワは間違いなく５つ星のワインであり、
　レギュラー・キュヴェも一貫して４つ星ワインとなっている。』

　Tasted on four separate occasions, and awarded a perfect score
　on three of those, the 2001 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee de la
　Reine des Bois even surpasses the extraordinary Reine des Bois
　produced in 2000, 1999, and 1998... and that's saying something!
　An inky/purple color is followed by a heady perfume of graphite,
　blackberries, kirsch, licorice, truffles, and charcoal.
　This full-bodied effort displays endless concentration in its
　pure, dense, generous flavors. lt is broadly flavored,
　with beautifully integrated acidity, tannin, and alcohol.
　A blend of 78% Grenache, 10% Mourvedre, and small quantities of
　Cinsault, Counoise, Syrah, and Vacqueyras, it is made from
　60-year old vines, and aged both in cask and neutral foudres
　from what are obviously very low yields. Sadly, just over 1,000
　cases were produced. This classic Chateauneuf du Pape requires
　3-5 years of cellaring; it will last for two decades. A modern
　day legend, it is an example of what progressive winemaking
　can achieve without abandoning the traditions of the appellation.

　１級シャトーの中では軽いワインと評価されてますが、日本人の
　食生活を考えると、又、日本でのフレンチのバター、生クリーム
　の使用量等を考えると非常に料理に合わせ易いワインです。

　このヴィンテージらしい豪勢さや弱い酸が見られるが、2000年より
　もさらにタンニンのレベルが高い。深みのあるルビー／紫色をして
　おり、クランベリー、日に焼けた土、ミネラル、青や黒系の果実の
　趣の古典的なアロマがある。口蓋にあたると、相当な豊かさや強烈
　さが感じられるが、ブドウの過熟感や重さはない。収穫は 36hl/ha
　という低収量に切り詰められたため、中核部の深みや甘さも良好だ。
　１００点満点の1989年の高みに到達するとは思えないが、見事なつ
　くりの、幅のある、ミディアムからフルボディのワインだ。精力、
　新鮮さ、偉大な舌触りが感じられる。

　ヴづくりを追求するジャン・デルマの指導のもと、この白ワインは
　まったく力強いものとなっている。』

　The 2004 Ermitage Le Meal blanc (266 cases) is total perfection
　in the bottle. Of course, this is supposedly the vineyard that
　so impressed Thomas Jefferson when he visited Hermitage in the
　late 1700s. Boasting an amazing concentrated essence of licorioe,
　minerals, acacia flowers, and buttery honey, the wine is viscous,
　super-thick, rich, and mind-blowingly intense. Having just had
　an utterly perfect bottle of DRC 1973 Montrachet, l couldn't
　help but think that this wine may well be even younger at a
　similar age.

　Another compelling, profoundly great wine is the 2004 Ermitage
　l'Ermite blanc. This is extremely limited in availability, but
　the light gold oolor offers up a liqueur of pears, wet rocks,
　and honey. Citrus oil, viscosity, extraordinary richness, and
　acidity make this wine (like all of these Ermitages, made from
　100% old-vine Marsanne) just exquisite. There is nothing like
　these wines anywhere in the world, and the fact that the single
　vineyard Ermitages are aged in 100% new oak, yet show no trace
　of oak whatsoever is mind-boggling. This is exquisite wine that
　you either drink in its first 3-4 years or forget for two decades.

　The 1999 L'Ermite is a liquid mineral, crystalline expression.
　It is the essence of its grape as well as terroir. It may be
　the greatest expression of terroir I have seen outside of a
　handful of Alsatian Rieslings. It has that transparent character
　that terroiristes talk more about than actually recognize.
　Drinking it is like consuming a liquified stony conconction
　mixed with white flowers, licorice, and honeyed fruits.
　Frightfully pure, dense, and well-delineated, as I said last
　year,"There is no real fruit character, just glycerin, alcohol,
　and liquid stones." That's about it, but, wow, what an expression!
　Anticipated maturity:2012-2050.
